Michael had made short films with friends back in high school and community college, before attending film school at UNCW in Wilmington, North Carolina. During that time, he also served as an on-set Production Assistant for the feature film, Changeover.
While at UNCW, he continued to improve his skills as a writer, director, producer, and actor. He also dabbled in other areas; such as script supervising and sound mixing. During his final year, he acted as the Content Manager for Flicker Film Society (a student organization on campus).
After graduating from film school, Michael took a year off and got the opportunity to work, as a Production Assistant, on two episodes of Food Network's The Great Food Truck Race.
He returned to UNCW and is currently obtaining his Master's Degree in Middle Grades Education, while continuing to develop his skills as a filmmaker in his free time. He also returned to Flicker Film Society, where he is the current Event Coordinator.
In the summer of 2020, Michael wrote his first feature-length screenplay, Meddle Like Hell.
